Chamber of Industry and Commerce

The Chamber represents the interests of local business vis à vis politics and public authorities. Moreover, the Chamber provides services to support its members and to promote the development of the chamber district.
The Chamber’s focus is on the excellence of vocational training, the support of local industries, and the promotion of infrastructure development. Consequently, the CCI considers itself as the main information hub in the region.

In Germany, there are 79 Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the Association of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry as their umbrella organisation. The CCIs are independent bodies incorporated under public law.

One of the tasks of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to issue the certificates needed for cross border trade. The Chamber provides information to, and establishes contact between, potential business partners from different countries.
