About us

Bremen is the smallest independent Federal Land in Germany and comprises the cities of Bremerhaven and Bremen which, with a population of around 560,000, ranks amongst the 10 largest cities in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Forward-looking and rooted in tradition: for more than five hundred years, the self-administration body of Bremen's economy has endeavoured to promote the success of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and its business enterprises. The tradition of Bremen, like that of its economy, is a tradition of independence: as a free city-republic, as a business community which demands its right to shape the city's fortunes, and as a Chamber of Commerce which is devoted to upholding these values.

The Bremen Chamber of Commerce is not only the centre of commercial self-administration, but also asserts the interests of Bremen's business community in political and social aspects.

Bremen has always been a strong port location and one of the centres of Germany's foreign trade, as well as an up-and-coming high-tech city and innovative service enterprise metropolis.

When people think of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce, they think of you. You are the Chamber of Commerce. All of the 52,000 registered entrepreneurs in Bremen and Bremerhaven determine where their regional business organization is headed. Learn more about our organization in our corporate brochure.
