Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) trade atlas

The IHK trade atlas contains a complex representation of many trade-related details for the IHK district territory. This includes, in particular, information on retail sales areas, retail purchasing power indices and the locations of large-scale retailers. These facts and figures are presented clearly for all central cities, districts, the independent city of Chemnitz and the IHK district. Graphics and maps illustrate the extensive data. Data is available for the entire Free State of Saxony, as trade atlases have been produced concurrently in the IHK districts of Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig.
This data collection reflects the state of the commercial landscape in our region like no other analysis. It is an indispensable aid when assessing location-specific supply and competitive situations, as well as a key basis for assessment when evaluating whether to move into specific areas. Further, the available data can be used to derive and facilitate recommendations for the further development of individual retail locations, especially in central cities.
The trade atlas is available on CD-ROM and can be ordered for a fee of €25.00 plus shipping from the IHK associates. Please use the order form (nicht barrierefrei, PDF-Datei · 151 KB).
The survey is a measure subsidised by the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior under the terms of the Funding Directive for Regional Development (FR-Regio).
