Hotline for international skilled workers

Since late 2014, there has been a broad range of advice available on questions of immigration and integration. The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) and the Central International Placement Services (ZAV) of the Federal Employment Agency have merged their hotlines under the name of ‘Working and living in Germany’ for this purpose.
Immigrants and those interested in immigrating can call +49 30 1815 1111 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays for a personal consultation (German/English) on the following issues:
  • entry and residence
  • learning German
  • looking for work
  • recognition of foreign professional qualifications
