Jobcenter Berlin

Jobcenters are institutions that support recipients of  „Bürgergeld“ (formerly: unemployment benefit II). The legal basis for the work of the jobcenter is the social security code II. It primarily regulates suitable basic security for job seekers and the members of their household. The tasks of the jobcenters include ensuring minimum income security benefits to job seekers, supporting job seekers in taking up employment and promoting integration measures and vocational training.

Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit, BA)

The Federal Employment Agency (BA) is the point of contact for people and companies on all questions concerning the labour and vocational training market. One of the tasks of the BA is to help people find training posts or employment.

Berlin Chamber of Crafts (Handwerkskammer Berlin, HWK Berlin)

The Berlin chamber of crafts, established more than 120 years ago as a sovereign institution of the Berlin gouvernment, acts as a central point of contact for all craftsmen, trades and handymen as is representing the interests of these skilled trades in politics, society and business.
As a service provider, we offer comprehensive consulting and other services for our approximately 30,000 member companies, their employees and apprentices. In our two training centers, we create the basis for a career in the skilled trades with numerous courses for further training and qualification. The chamber of crafts is known to be a safe and stable employer.
