Information on data protection pursuant to Art. 13/14 GDPR (english)

This information is provided in connection with your consent to be contacted and advised by the Welcome Center Ulm/Oberschwaben project. The data you provide and your message will be forwarded to the advisor for processing. As a result, an appointment can be arranged. The data you provide are processed for the purposes indicated by you on the basis of point a) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 GDPR. It is possible that your data are transferred to us by a third party authorised by you. The data passed on may be used by the third party exclusively for the purposes indicated above (cf. paragraph 1 above). Your personal data will not be transferred any other third parties. The data will not be processed in third countries.
We will not process the personal data any longer than is necessary to meet our contractual and statutory duties. Among other purposes, data processing is necessary for the performance and implementation of the contract, including defence against and enforcement of civil law claims within the relevant limitation periods. According to Sec. 195 ff. of the German Civil Code, the limitation periods may be up to thirty years; the standard limitation period is three years. The retention requirements under fiscal, commercial and tax law as well as other statutory provisions must be observed in addition. The retention/ documentation periods stipulated therein range from six to ten years plus the period of limitation for tax assessment of an additional four years. In order not to violate the statutory regulations or lose the possibility of enforcing a claim or defending against such a claim, we reserve the right to only erase the data after expiry of the last period that legitimises the data storage. Your documents will be erased within two months after having been reviewed and forwarded.
You have the following rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation:
If your personal data are processed, you have the right to obtain access to the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR). If inaccurate personal data are processed, you have the right to request rectification (Art. 16 GDPR). If the statutory requirements are met, you have the right to request erasure or restriction of processing and to object to the processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 GDPR). If you have given your consent to data processing or a contract for data processing exists and the data processing is carried out by automated means, you may have the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). If you exercise your above-mentioned rights, IHK Ulm will check whether the statutory requirements for this are met. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.
