Chamber of Industry and Commerce

The Lüneburg-Wolfsburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Industrie- und Handelskammer Lüneburg-Wolfsburg) represents the interests of approximately 65,000 member companies with respect to politics and administration. It also informs and advises on all relevant economic matters, offers professional education and is a platform for the exchange of experiences.
In Germany, all companies are members of one of the country's 80 chambers of industry and commerce (IHK), excepting only businesses which have their own chambers, such as craftsmen, agriculture and freelance professions. The IHK's umbrella organization is the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in Berlin. Abroad, there are German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) offices in more than 80 countries around the globe.
