Welcome to the website of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Regensburg. We represent the overall economic interests of around 85,000 companies in the Upper Palatinate and the district of Kelheim in Germany. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce supports its member companies, among other things, in issues relevant to the location, in securing skilled workers and in foreign trade.
IHK is the German abbreviation for “Industrie- und Handelskammer”, which means “Chamber of Industry and Commerce” in English. In Germany, the main objective of the IHK is to promote its members’ interests to the public and to policy makers on the state and federal level. In addition, we provide a wide range of services to established enterprises as well as up-and-coming start-ups. And we have been assigned various administrative responsibilities by the state and the federal government, for example managing the German vocational training system.
