There are more than 400 companies active in the plastics sector in the region.

The aim of the inter-sectoral entrepreneurs' network INNONET Kunststoff is to give the companies that operate in the field of plastics technology (and their respective suppliers) a platform for cooperation - in particular in the Northern Black Forest Region, but also outside.

Main goals of the network:

  • Exchange and mediation of contacts or information
  • Meetings, events and workshops
  • Initiation of collaborations
  • Joint promotion and public relation activities
  • Joint initiatives on education and training
  • Support in the implementation of innovations
Co-operating with other networks within the region e.g. the Stanztec Valley or the medical technologies cluster means to unlock mould-breaking innovation.

Stanztec-Valley

An important economic and technological strength of the Northern Black Forest Region constitutes a multitude of companies, active in the field of stamping technology, tool construction and manufacturing technology peripherals related to it. This concentration of stamping and metal processing technology expertise is unique all over Germany. Moreover, one of a kind is the regional trade fair Stanztec which takes place in a two-year cycle in Pforzheim and has an international reputation.
The commitment of some prominent entrepreneurs allows not only a fair but also the establishment of an endowed professorship at Pforzheim University related to the expertise needed to advance within stamping technology.
