Chamber of Industry and Commerce Hochrhein-Bodensee
The companies in the region participate on a voluntary basis in plenary meetings, committees and on advisory boards of the IHK Hochrhein-Bodensee. Their specialist knowledge ensures that the IHK is able to fulfil its duties for the benefit of the economy.
- Presidency consists of the president and six other members.
- General assembly consists of up to 50 elected representatives from companies.
- Committees are appointed by the general assembly and influence the daily work of the Chamber.
- Working parties on current economic and regional issues.
All companies in Germany, excluding tradesmen and the self-employed, have to join their local Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). The IHK Hochrhein-Bodensee is one of 80 Chambers in Germany. The umbrella organisation of the IHKs is the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag / DIHK) in Berlin, which also coordinates and supports the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Auslandshandelskammer / AHK) in 92 countries.
